The drill bit that we supply is 1/8 inch diameter, with a short inchscrew machine inch profile. Similar bits *might* be available at specialty hardware and tooling stores, but typically this style of shorter bit is not found in the inchbig box stores inch. Standard length 1/8 inch drill bits can also be used, but the flutes will extend up through the pilot hole in the trigger guard, and you may run the risk of damaging pilot hole/trigger guard.
